Description

This Dyrosaurus skull is an exceptional example of one of the last marine crocodiles that ruled the seas during the Late Cretaceous period. It comes from the phosphate deposits of Khouribga, Morocco, and shows remarkable natural preservation with its original matrix intact.

Species: Dyrosaurus
Coloration: Natural fossil hues of deep brown, gray, and beige tones
Condition: 100% natural, still in its original matrix with no restoration

The skull measures about 120 cm in length and captures the hydrodynamic design of this ancient predator. Unlike modern crocodiles, Dyrosaurus lived in the ocean and hunted fast-moving fish and cephalopods near the end of the Cretaceous.

Its elongated snout and sharp conical teeth reveal how it adapted for speed and precision in the water. The fossil shows excellent anatomical detail — clear bone structure, defined cranial features, and a naturally preserved surface that highlights its authenticity.

Dyrosaurus belongs to the crocodilian lineage, closely related to modern crocodiles and alligators, not to dinosaurs or mosasaurs.

Large, complete skulls of Dyrosaurus rarely appear on the market. This specimen stands out for its authenticity, preservation, and strong visual presence — a commanding centerpiece for collectors, museums, or exhibitions.
